Food and well-being of the kids

The first visit to the school was made in September 2010. Since November 2010, just three months after the first visit, ChuayDek  (first as a group of friends and then as a registered charity) contributed to improve the quality and quantity of meals for 120 to 130 children of the Buddha Kasettra School. We help to provide more nutritious meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) to the kids. We also donate clothes, blankets, toys and other important items to improve kids' comfort.
The donations for the food try to follow the calendar of the academic year: 
School year 2009-2010
  • November 2010 (First donation): improved meals from November 2010 to February 2011 (2nd term of school year) 
School year 2010-2011
  • May 2011 (Second donation): improved meals from March 2011 to October 2011  (1st term of school year)
  • November 2011 (Third donation): improved meals from November 2011 to February 2012 (2nd term of school year)
School year 2011-2012
  • April 2012 (Fourth donation): improved meals from May 2012 to October 2012 (1st term of school year)
  • 2013: food for second term of the school year was guaranteed by the money donated and fund-raised by Friends in Singapore (Attitaya and the St. John Briigade). ChuayDek leveradged this funds sponsoring various special meals during the semester.
School year 2012-2013 & 2013-2014
  • Special and more nutritious meals were provided to the kids in special occasions, which were organized with the School's teachers and the managers.
As part of its support to the Buddha Kasettra School, ChuayDek also helps the teachers with drafting project proposals to various supporters and donors (NGO, private sector, groups, etc). See the list approved projects supporting the "Food and comfort" work area
